Samoa was beaten 21-7 in the Cup final.
It was the fourth final in a row that Samoa had met Fiji and now the
score stands 2-2.
Fiji is ahead in the series over Samoa by 10 points with two more tournaments
to go; in May and June: London and Edinburgh.
The winner of the IRB Sevens World Series is then declared.
On being the runners up in Adelaide, the
Coach,
Fuimaono Titimaea Dicky Tafua said in an IRB interview:

"I
am very proud of my team, they played very well here after Hong Kong.
In the final we just didn't have enough possession and in Sevens that
makes it very difficult. But we are happy with our performance and we
will look forward to the next two events."
