Adelaide Sevens 8/9 April 2007

Samoa was beaten 21-7 in the Cup final.

It was the fourth final in a row that Samoa had met Fiji and now the score stands 2-2.

Fiji is ahead in the series over Samoa by 10 points with two more tournaments to go; in May and June: London and Edinburgh.

The winner of the IRB Sevens World Series is then declared.

On being the runners up in Adelaide, the Coach,
Fuimaono Titimaea Dicky Tafua said in an IRB interview:

Dicky Tafua, Samoa coach - runners-up (IRB)

"I am very proud of my team, they played very well here after Hong Kong. In the final we just didn't have enough possession and in Sevens that makes it very difficult. But we are happy with our performance and we will look forward to the next two events."
